Dark chocolate muffins

If you love chocolate, you can't miss these chocolate muffins.

  • 80 ml whole milk or plant milk
  • 100 g dark chocolate chopped
  • 150 g all purpose flour
  • 15 g cocoa powder
  • 5 g baking powder
  • 100 g butter at room temperature
  • 100 g light brown sugar
  • 2 medium eggs at room temperature
  • 50 g milk chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips


  • Preheat the oven to 190°C and line a muffin tin with 10 muffin liners.
  • Bring the milk to the boil, pour it into the chocolate and stir until melted.
  • In a bowl combine the flour with cocoa powder and baking powder.
  • In a second bowl cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix well until combined.
  • Pour in the melted chocolate with milk, then fold the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Add the milk chocolate chips and scoop the batter into the muffin liners.
  • Bake the chocolate muffins for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean. Remove the muffins from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.


Store the muffins in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. It’s possible to freeze the chocolate muffins (remove from the freezer the night before).
