Chocolate hazelnut mousse
This chocolate hazelnut mousse is an easy Halloween dessert to prepare with kids.
For the cake (topping)
- 100 g sugar
- 50 g butter soft
- 2 eggs yolks and whites separated
- 40 g cocoa powder
- 80 g all purpose flour
- 6 g baking powder
For the hazelnut chocolate mousse
- 500 g mascarpone or full fat cream cheese
- 250 ml whipping cream
- 100 g chocolate hazelnut spread
- Halloween sugar decorations
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cream the butter with sugar, add egg yolks and sifted cocoa powder. Add the sifted flour with baking powder and fold in whipped egg whites.
Pour the batter into a 20 cm round tin, lined with parchment paper. Bake the cake for about 20 minutes, remove from the oven and allow to cool.
For the mousse, whip the mascarpone with whipping cream. Add the chocolate hazelnut spread and divide among the glasses.
Cover the mousse with the crumbled cake and allow to cool completely in the fridge. Before serving, decorate the chocolate hazelnut mousse with Halloween sugar decorations.
